Yamaha Rhino ATV Recall

On March 31, 2024 the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in cooperation with Yamaha Motor Corp U.S.A. announced a free repair program to address all safety issues associated with all Rhino 450, 660, and 700 model off-highway recreational vehicles. The Yamaha Rhino ATV has been an extremely popular off-road vehicle that is used for recreational, sport, and utility driving on rugged terrain, and in terms of size and ability, the Rhino falls somewhere between a regular-sized ATV and a Jeep Wrangler.

The defective products attorneys at Kalfus & Nachman, Attorneys at Law, serving Norfolk, Newport News, and surrounding areas of Virginia are currently investigating claims for clients who have been injured on these ATVs.

Yamaha Motor Corp. has agreed to suspend sales of these models immediately until the problems are repaired. Consumers should stop using these models of Rhino ATV immediately until the repair is installed by the dealer. More than 50 incidents have already been investigated; 46 deaths associated with Rhino ATV accidents have been reported. Approximately 120,000 Rhino ATV models 450, 660 and 700 have been distributed nationwide in the last six years.

The Yamaha Rhino ATV has been incredibly popular in recent years, but it has become infamous for causing serious injuries and deaths due to defects manufacturing and design that lead to rollover accidents.

If you or someone you love has been injured or killed in a Rhino ATV accident in Virginia, please contact Norfolk personal injury law firm of Kalfus & Nachman today to schedule a confidential consultation.
