Trial Lawyer, Stuart L. Nachman
Stuart is a native of Virginia. He attended the University of NC where he received a degree in Economics. From there, he attended the University of Virginia, receiving his law degree in 1971. In 1979, Stuart founded Kalfus & Nachman PC, along with Abe Kalfus. He is one of the orginal founders of the law firm Kalfus & Nachman. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and Norfolk Portsmouth Bar Association. He has been a trial lawyer for over 40 years, practicing in both the state and federal courts.
He is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Immediate Past President of the Association. He is also, a member of the the American Association for Justice, and is currently serving as Vice President and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Foundation. He is also an active member of the North American Brain Injury Society, and litgation groups relating to brain injury, medical device and pharmaceutical drugs. Stuart devotes most of his practice to the representation of individuals seriously injured by the wrongdoing of others, with particular emphasis on cases involving brain and other devastating injuries.
Stuart is also an outstanding corportate citizen that has served on numerous boards throughout Hampton Roads. He served as the Immediate Past President of the Hospice & Pallative Care of Tidewater Outside and know serves as an active Board Member. He is also a Board Member of and treasuer of HOLA, (Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement). This organization is comprised of local businessman and women in Tidewater that support 5 orpahanages in Nicaragua. Mr. Nachman has persoanlly made two missions to the area to assist. He is also an active Board Member and officer of Beth Shalom Village, a senior assisted living community and nursing home. He enjoys biking, reading and traveling with his family.
